Take care of your jewelry
July 4th, 2008 by Hydiapearl.com: Fine jewelryThis is a while since I last wrote concerned about jewelry - and because I use a lot of silver and pearls in my wedding jewelry, it seems appropriate to mention how to take care of these materials.
The key to prevent detrimental to the Bank is to maintain clean and store closures, from the air, humidity, and chemicals. Anti-tarnishing cloth lining in jewelry boxes, is also very favorable, particularly in the bridal jewelry.
Pearl key concern is to avoid any contact with chemicals and acid. Pearl is a beautiful, but delicate, and can undermine the seemingly innocent things like, hairspray, therefore, maintain a clean, pearls, but avoid the use of chemical cleaning agents for their impact.
My favorite way to store silver jewelry in plastic Zip lock baggies. Because I have a lot of jewelry - most of its stock, I take the arts and crafts shows or delivery of the shops and galleries sell my work - I need a solution, and continuously from my jewellery discoloration, but will not take too More space. Plastic bags the perfect solution. Tupperware-style containers also work well. Pearl jewelry should be liner, so I suggest that the anti-tarnishing bag for the silver and pearl jewelry, especially if it is stored in a box, jewellery and other items can start from scratch on the surface of the pearl.
Another thing to help, do not ask me why, is to a piece of aluminum foil containers to use, so that you can store silver.
It may work for the same reason, this simple recipe, help to eliminate harmful light from the silver jewelry (and is one of only * * safe cleaning method for pearl jewelry):
In a bowl, place a piece of aluminum foil. Your jewelry on top of the foil so that the silver is touching the aluminum foil. Baking soda onto the above, and add hot water. Swish the water around to a few minutes, then remove the jewelry and dry soft cloth.
Another useful cleaning tips: polished silver and polishing cloth after wearing it, if your jewellery is in contact with sweat, perfume, hair styling products, or other cosmetics, it does not hurt to rinse it in warm water and dry with a soft cloth. Then do not forget to save it from the air and water to keep the gloss and look for new!
Some things to consider:
* Do not put your jewellery, until you complete your hair in shape, do your make-up, chemicals and other beauty products, to accelerate the change, damage to some precious stones and pearls
* Do not let your salad dressing in the Pearl. Seriously - vinegar, which is a common element in the salad dressing, will damage pearls. If you spill on your pearls, rinse them in warm water and dry soft cloth.
* Do not let jewelry in the bathroom - it’s the most humid part of your house, and a region usually have the most chemicals (in the form of cosmetics and household cleaning products, which can damage jewelry).
* Remove silver and pearls, clean your house - again, chemicals, can damage pearls and detrimental to speed up the silver.
* Do not use the Baptist silver jewelry includes pearls, shells, stones, and other non-metallic materials. Silver decline is really only for the silver - try baking soda and hot water rinse, for jewellery combination of silver and other materials - it’s much safer, if not quite instant.
I gradually transition from the use of standard silver to argentium sterling silver and fine silver, both of which are difficult (although not immune) damage. I hope to use these alloys, my jewelry will be easier to take care of, so, although argentium and fine silver slightly more expensive than silver, I think it is worth mentioning that it was jewellery resist damage, so looking forward to a new long Much more.
